So I was med boarded for bilateral ankle reconstruction and traumatic arthritis. The Marines rated me at 10% and I was discharged, and received 20% per ankle from the VA and awarded some other issues to give me a rating of 60%(now 70% due to worsening). When I got the letter I was not real sure on what they actually wanted to evaluate, can someone clarify what they are specifically looking for to give me medical retirement> what percentage do I have to get to in order to be considered medically retired? do they take everything in medical record into account, or would they just be looking at my ankles, which is what got me med boarded? I only ask because I was received service connection for menieres disease, but it was several years after the fact that they linked it to my service. Any help would be appreciated.
