Just had an enlightening conversation with a lady at the CRSC initial claims department. I've kept in touch with them, although they are not the ones doing the retro. It seems that they are the ones being tasked to help he retro department. She told me that next week about 3/4 of her office will move to the retro office to help them finish the retro claims. She stated that they will be trained for one week and then given cases to work.They are technicians to begin with so, they should...

When contacted about the 4 year and counting delay on back CRSC/CRDP payments the new head of DFAS said.

"Let them eat cake"

And the delay continues with no explanation.

I think those are old numbers, and believe that single vet with 100% is $2527 for 2008 and married with no children is $2669 ($2610 this year).

I have received nothing so far after last interview announcement.

Neighbor who is CRDP, told me he received a DFAS letter several days ago,he was informed, they owe him nothing.

Sure....VA, CRSC, and CRDP are different accounts. VA pay is seperate from DAFS. The bad guys here are the DAFS contract pukes...the excuses and delays are completely unacceptable (IRS would damn well never accept your excuse that you are working on it with a promise to pay, or an excuse that it takes too long to work the figures!)

VA pay is pretty straight forward and quick...claim approved, account set up, check to bank...done deal! DAFS, on the other hand, has...

A friend called me tonight...two weeks ago they said his case had been reviewed and he could expect payment on the 29th. The 29th came and went he called today and the dance started. They now are telling him that he will receive a letter some time within the next 45 days explaining his situation and that they did not know when he would be paid if he is due anything. He inquired about why he was told he would be paid and given a dollar figure. He said dead silence on the other end. After that...

You could be a Coast Guard vet entitled to retro CRDP. At least DOD has paid most of you. The Coast Guard has not even STARTED to pay anyone entitled to retro CRDP and they are taking their tactics straight from DFAS.........deny, procrastinate, lie and claim their working on it but the results never materialize.....hopefully one day the people that have failed us all so miserably will get all they deserve.......investigate away Congressman.
