I know that this is really late but I thought that would ask. I got a PEB from the Navy in September of 97 not more than 1 year later that same disability that got me a 205 from the Navy was upgraded to 30% from the VA. Is there any way to have my PEB reviewedaso I might be able to get retirement? I am now sitting at 80% for the same disability and am total 90% with IU PT.

I have been told so many different things and when I ask someone I get different answers each time? Ok here goes....If i get medically retired ( after 20 years) and the USAF rates me at say 60% disabled how does the pay work? I just recently found out that my Board was terminated. I was in a situation where I had to find out all on my own by contacting MED BOARDS on my base after waiting around to hear from them for a few weeks. I was due a second opinion on 27 July but the packet was sent to the PEB anyway without telling me, then 3 days later I am looking at the TDRL. It only took 3 days for the informal PEB to make a decision.

I am in the process of a PEB for DVT. Can anyone please help me out with information on what to expect and how lond the medical board process is after the PEB?? I have been battling this condition for the past 2 years and it has only worsened from the time that i was told that i had them. What are the chances of a medical retirement in this situation?? Has anyone had dealings with the following bill that was passed under the NDAA FY 2008 that was signed by the President on 1/2/2008 and became Public Law 110-181.

I am trying to help a young man who was wounded in Iraq and then released with less than 20% disability rating and who is now rated by the VA at 40%. I believe this bill may entitle him to a medical retirement. No one I have talked to, has any idea where to send the information to.

While on TDRL part of my "retirement" benefit was paid by the VA (80 % rating) and the Marine Corps Paid the rest. I was recently transferred to the PDRL (60 % rating) and was under the impression that the VA would take over the entire retirement benefit. I have tried to contact DFAS and MMSR-6, both could not provide an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
