Let&#39;s keep this non-political ok?  For those that do not know Medicare and Tricare are tied together.  The issue was a law that went into effect on 1 Jul
08 which reduced the payments to Dr&#39;s for both Medicare and Tricare.  It could have cost beneficiaries the ability to use their current Dr as many were
going to completely drop both programs.

Many groups have been lobbying long and hard on this one, including all of the Vet&#39;s orgs.

private insurance and I have been told that they would/could use this for my treatments at the VA. I would prefer this as I would rather see the VA get this
money than the private sector. In calling the VA here I do not get any answer that makes much sense, Soooooooo

			<description><![CDATA[ I am a disabled veteran.  I was granted 70% IU, so my health benefits are covered.  We have had my wife and daughter on her works health coverage for the last
1 1/2 years but she will be out of work after this summer.  My VA benefits and SSDI together are too much money to qualify for any low income health care
through the State of Maine.  Our options are Cobra, or other expensive avenues.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  My VA compensation is going to be

though.  Can someone please tell me how to go about changing doctors or even clinics within the same hospital?

renewed and I got two prescriptions for medications not in the VA formulary faxed to the Tricare for Life mail order pharmacy.

I also asked for two referrals, one to optometry and the other to pain management. I had the pain management appointment yesterday, June 25th and will have to
optometry appointment on June 30th.

Is this a good thing?  I do not know anything about the VA SC ratings system.  Also how long is the wait, and how much rating you think I will receive if any? ]]></description>
