I have Vitiligo, along with several other "autoimmune" conditions, presumed by VA raters to be from the Gulf War.

I suffered through the PUVA therapy years ago, but it didn't slow the progression of this disease, and it certainly didn't reverse the process (my goal was to re-pigment as much of my "albino" patches as possible without risking skin cancer).

Does anybody have experience with some of the pigment dyes and or long-lasting make-up to...

In your honest opinion, do you feel it is better to file a new claim on your own with the online va application or would I be better off filing the claim through a VSO representative? Please advise

My initial letter had a DD-214 in it that showed I had a SouthWest Asia Service medal with 3 bronze stars along with a Kuwait liberation medal. I am a gulf war vet.. Marines 3/1..took that dam PB pill like a good Marine, returned sept 91.. discharged May 92.. filled claims for headaches diarreha,insomnia,skin rashes in 98 denied in 99-2000... appealed and was granted only skin rashes and insomnia 10% each for a total of 20% in 2003...my conditions have gotten worse, I filed for CFS, diarrhea joint pains, and I requested increase for insomnia and these rashes that I get from time to time. was given a CT scan in 98 for the registry...

I am confused. I read and reread the stuff but remain confused. Is the timeframe of diagnosis one year after discharge? I was discharged in 2006 and just got diagnosed with stuff this year cause I just decided to pursue all my aches, pains and general feel like SH** issues. So am I out of luck cause it has been more than a year? What does that have to do with presumed? As I have said I have read and reread so I am asking for the answer from someone in english. I went through the DRO process, my complaint is and has been about my CFIDS rating. Hello all,

I am getting prepared to file a claim for gulf war illness. Well, let me rephrase that from reading the board I know it was recommended(because we are not doctors so we can't diagnose ourselves) to file for the individual symptoms. For instance mine would be chronic fatigue, constant headaches, joint pains, persistent rash, neurological problems all of which began shortly after my return from the gulf(my SMR is full of evidence). 1st question am I correct on this...

I talked to a guy this morning who is 80% rated, IU P/T. He told me one of his ratings was for Lumbar Arthropathy. He said that rating is 20%.

Anyway after he received that rating, and with one year of discharge, Physical Medicine Doctor diagnosed him with Fibromyalgia.

He was sent to physical therapy and prescribed muscle relaxers. A year later he was seen by a civilian Rheumetologist who diagnosed him with Ankylosing Spondylitis. Note that VA examination showed he has a...

Just got my latest blood test results back. I had asked the doctor to check for mycoplasma. Anyway, the results came back with my Lyme as elevated.
It says Note: The CDC currently advises that western blot testing be performed following all equivocal or positive EIA results. Final diagnosis should include appropriate clinical findings and a positive EIA which is also positive by Western blot.
