I couldn't get an answer on another thread so I'll start my own. Can anyone tell me what the comp is for in patient PTSD some say 100% every 21 days or 23 days some say every month?

C&P reexam

I have been rated 100% for PTSD 3 years ago and was called in a few weeks ago for a re-exam C&P, my condition has not improved and have been takeing medication for many years now.
My questions are is it common to be called for another exam, is three years the normal time frame to expect, are they trying to reduce me from 100%, anyone out there have this happen to them, how long does it take to hear back from the VA?

Called the 800# today to find out how to submit a question to IRIS. They told me that they tried to contact me twice on the 4th and that my claim was being assigned to a Task Force. Now my issue with the IU part of my claim was that one of the previous employers wouldn't sent back the form and I asked them if they could proceed without that one employers form being returned. My question is, is it normal for a claim to go to a Task Force without having the C&P...

I am 70%, all PTSD. At the "suggestion" of my boss, I'm using our health coverage to see a Ph D that works on PTSD. I don't want to forget anything when I see her but I always have with the VA. So, here is my question: If I go in there with a list of symptoms and how they impact me at home and at work, will she find it strange or have other out there done this?

Recieved Award letter and recieved denial on PTSD, Anxiety, Depression. Then I recieve a phone call from QTC saying a mistake was made and there was conflicting information and I need to redo exam. What is this all about, please advise??

Hi Guys, nice to see a site that vets are looking out for vets.

I have much in common with you; sleep disorder, rage, anxiety (causing irregular heart beat), self medicating (it is under control), hyper-vigilance and some night mares (different ones). This is classic PTSD, except, I don't have the frequent recurring nightmares. I almost never am able to sleep the full night, not even close. Can I have PTSD without the recurring nightmares?

Undiagnosed Sleep Disorder diagnosed as PTSD?

I recently had a C&P exam for undiagnosed sleep disorder (nightmares) and the VA Psychologist diagnosed me with PTSD (moderate) as the cause and recommended that I file a C&P claim for it, which is noted on the C&P exam. Will the VA substitute the PTSD for the undiagnosed condition since they diagnosed it or do I need to file a completely new claim for PTSD? Thanks in advance.

Hello , not sure if this is where to put this but couldnt find the right spot.

I recived a rating increase a couple weeks ago, saying that my combined rating was now 80% up from 50% The letter from the va clearly sates "Effective november 2 2009" and also how much extra I would recive.

The problem is, that my pay this month was the same as usual. Now correct me if I am wrong, but if it was effective Nov 2, then wouldnt this months pay reflect the increase ??...

My wife has written a letter about some of my problems...Such as choking out people ..shooting at a thief who ran out of our garage ( It was dark or he wouldn't do it again lol) and my response to everyday things that bother me. She did not atttend my C&P. Should I have her send it in or what? Thanks as always

This is my first post. I would like to thank all who supply all the helpful information on here. My question is I have a C&P for PTSD, OCD and Depression my VA Doc has been treating me for MDD Recur, sev w/o Psychosis, and PTSD, Chronic. Does this mean that I will get a rating ,or will the C&P Doc over ride what the Va Doc has alrady Document. I was in a treatment center for a week due to the above mention problems. I would be grateful for any help.

The computer said that San Diego had not received any of my records from Palo Alto and my claim only had two weeks until it was to be sent back to Oakland. Hey Guys! So I'm new to the forums and have been doing a bit of browsing for a buddy of mine that just got out of the military and has been diagnosed with PTSD, but can't seem to get some of his questions answered.

As a basic foundation, he's been diagnosed at 70% Disability due to PTSD alone, i.e. no other conditions.

(1) He's currently not working. Because of this rating, is he limited to any particular type of work? i.e. Does this disability and rating...

I had an appt with a VA psychiatrist yesterday, He told me he wanted me to attend meetings with a VA mental health dept
for PTSD and Depression. The whole appt lasted only about 30 min after filling out a two page form. I really expected more as we did not really go into any details. The mental healty dept has not called yet but I am waiting. He stated PTSD/Depression two to three times that I remember. Also have a flp appt with the psychiatrist on 8 Jan 10. My question is this the way...

I just received the letter approved 30 percent ptsd.I wanted to thank all of you on this site,my vso was almost no help, so I used this site for all of my info. it took 6 months from when I filed till the check was in the mail . this site was a great help to me thanks again Lloyd
