			<description><![CDATA[ Hi, I have a VA appointment, several in fact and my first after retirement and it&#39;s about 3-4 hours away.  I have 2 back to back days so will need to stay
over.  They said if there is a room available that is kept for those receiving treatment that isn&#39;t taken I could use that, otherwise I&#39;m on my own.  I
would think they would pay for hotel/motel cost if you have to travel over a certain distance.  Anyone know of this?  Am I stuck with paying out of pocket?

claims would NEVER have even gotten filed.(a rather huge amount I would bet)... so, personally I filed my own claims, but I&#39;m not the majority.

military retirement.

If retired Military and rated 70-100% within four years of a 20 or more year retirement: retiree receives, 70-80%= $100.00, 90%=$200, 100%=$300. This
compensation is paid from the retiree&#39;s military service branch.  I&#39;m already receiving my CRDP from VA, but I&#39;m not quite certain if I&#39;m

Ok, so Im 50% SC. I applied for an additional 10% (for my back) in June 06, since then Ive had hip replacement surgery which I applied for 100% temp disability
in Jan 07 both are still pending. BTW Ive already had a C&amp;P hearing for both. I was once told by my GA VA rep having two claims at once sometimes delays
the entire process...

			<description><![CDATA[ A friend heard a rumor that smoking will soon be banned everywhere on the entire campus of VA clinics and hospitals, inside and outdoors. There was also a comment that all vets in the system would be required to quit smoking anywhere and any time, even at home. Evidence of smoking would be grounds for denying medical treatment.<br>
